BSAC launches Global Antimicrobial Stewardship Accreditation Scheme (GAMSAS)
By supporting healthcare organizations to build and sustain robust and measurable AMS programmes including support to enable them to contribute to local, national, and global data collection/surveillance, GAMSAS strives for a joined-up approach to stewardship around the world, raising standards, sharing best practice, and facilitating mentorship between communities.
The BSAC GAMSAS is the first global scheme to combine these two methodologies to focus on antimicrobial prescribing. Our approach aims to support healthcare organisations throughout the world by recognising their current good practice, identifying areas for improvement and supporting education and training to help them make substantial progress, regardless of current levels of resources.
